Adjustable Roller
As standard on all flailheads the rear roller can be manually adjusted to suit different applications. When verge mowing the roller can be adjusted to change the cutting height and when hedge cutting it can be set higher to avoid coming in to contact with the hedge.

Cushioned Roller
The cushioned rear roller is an optional upgrade on 1.2, 1.5m and 1.6m Multicut flailheads. Designed specifically for verge mowing, the cushioned roller is wrapped with a thick layer of rubber to improve performance.

Hydraulic Roller
The hydraulic roller is an optional upgrade on 1.2, 1.5m and 1.6m Multicut flailhead. It enables the operator to change the height of the roller via the incab Power Arm controls, ideal for switching between hedge cutting and bank maintenance.

Adjustable Front Hood
All McConnel Flailheads are fitted with an adjustable front hood as standard. To minimise the throwing of debris particularly when roadside working the hood should be adjusted to the lowest position. When the front hood is fully raised, larger growth can pass underneath to the rotor and flails.

Wire Trap
A Wire Trap System is incorporated as a standard feature on all McConnel flailheads. Any loose ends of wire which are picked up and carried into the rotor are immediately cut by the wire trap and will fall to the ground.

Front Flap Kit
Front flap kits consist of a rubber flap which fixes to the front hood to prevent material from being thrown forward.

Heavy Duty Front Flap Kit
An optional heavy duty front flap kit is available on all Multicut flailheads, The Heavy Duty flap kit incorporates a wear resistant Domex steel strip along the bottom of the rubber flap to increase working life. It also features a Rubber protection bar that protects the front hood and flailhead against impacts.

Belt Drive
The McConnel belt drive system allows the hydraulic motor to be mounted within the flailhead width so to reduce the overall profile. This improves close-in cutting and also protects the motor from Obstacles.

Direct Drive
The Direct Drive system incorporates the hydraulic motor in the side of the flailhead casing. This enables the motor to directly drive the rotor shaft via a multi spline drive coupling.

Motor Location
The location of the hydraulic motor on the flailhead can be specified to suit your requirements. It can either be mounted ‘in-board’ meaning the motor is located to the side closest to the tractor or ‘out-board’ which is the side furthest from the tractor

Skid Kit
