Leg options
Optional vibration unit
Unlike conventional subsoilers, McConnel Shakaerators have a patented vibration unit which reduces draught when in work. As a result less horsepower is required compared to machines without a vibration unit.
- Reduces draught
- Improves soil conditions
- Reduces fuel consumption
- Aids traction
- Low hp requirements
Leg design
The unique design of McConnel Shakaerator legs ensures subsoil is not mixed with topsoil, but is heaved and aerated. Conventional cultivator legs turn the soil and bring unwanted subsoil to the surface.
- Does not mix soil
- Heaves and aerates soil
- Improves soil condition
- Reduces draught
- Reduces fuel consumption
Leg configuration
McConnel cultivation machines can be fitted with different leg configurations to suit soil types and tractor horsepower. Closer spacing of legs reduces draught as each shank helps its neighbour, while shanks that are spaced too widely apart cause excessive draught.
- Choice of leg configurations
- Tailored to suit requirements
- Quick and simple adjustment
- Reduced draught
- Improved soil condition
Break back options
McConnel cultivator legs offer a choice of breakback protection: Gas strut and mechanical. The gas-strut legs feature a fast-acting auto-reset system which allows the legs to reset fully without the need for operator input.
