The largest Power Arm ever created by McConnel is currently in development at the company’s Ludlow production facility.
The 9.0m twin-telescopic arm model is called the PA9085TT and is being engineered as a unique build for a customer of the company’s Australian distribution partner International Mowers.
Powered by high-performance 85-hp hydraulics, the new machine will be used for embankment mowing.
McConnel general manager Christian Davies said McConnel’s design and production teams were looking forward to the challenge of creating the longest reach Power Arm in the company’s history.
He said: “It will be a very interesting challenge and will result in a truly unique machine. If it proves popular there’s a strong possibility it could become part of our mainstream product range.”
