Nathan conquers the Cambrians for the charity that saved him header image

Four years after being airlifted off a peak in Cwmcarn following a horrific cycling injury which left him with a broken back, McConnel design engineer Nathan Seymour has returned to the mountains to raise more than £1,000 for the organisation which rescued him.

The intrepid mountain biker will never forget the help he received from the Wales Air Ambulance service and was delighted to have raised money for the cause by completing a 205-mile fund-raising trek from Caernarfon to Laugharne.

Now fully recovered, Nathan completed the gruelling ride over some of the steepest mountain trails in Snowdonia in just 15 hours and eight minutes – covering a combined total of 12,109-feet of climbs.

Nathan said: “Wales Air Ambulance came to my rescue when I was badly injured so the organisation is incredibly important to me. I’d particularly like to thank my colleagues at McConnel who have been very generous in helping me raise funds for this vital service.”
