Available in five reach sizes from 5.6m to 8.0m reach and powered by high-performance 70hp hydraulic system, this new heavy-duty Power Arm series has been designed for professional contractors and features a radical new look and feature set.
Among the key new features of the machine is an innovative high-efficiency oil tank and cooling system which deliver an outstanding de-aeration performance; produce a very low overall flow velocity; and eliminate areas in the tank where resting oil can concentrate.
Designed to improve efficiency, performance and durability, this new system ensures consistent cooling in all weather conditions and reduces heat build-up.
Customers can choose from four different armsets including: Standard, Telescopic, Variable Forward Reach, and Telescopic Variable Forward Reach. The new Tele-VFR armset is the most advanced in the industry enabling operators to position the flailhead alongside the cab for enhanced visibility, while offering extra reach on demand for greater manoeuvrability.
The new series has been designed to get the best from REVOLUTION – McConnel’s state-of-the-art eight-function proportional control system which features outstanding joystick precision, fully customisable controls, and simple but sophisticated software developed in-house by McConnel.
REVOLUTION comes complete with McConnel’s award-winning Easy Drive System (EDS) for faster ‘hands-free’ verge mowing speeds in undulating terrain. EDS automatically adjusts to the contours of the ground more 30 times a second - reducing both operator input and fatigue. It enhances comfort and visibility and can increase working speeds by up to 4.5 times the norm
Precision-engineered at McConnel’s Shropshire production facility, 75 Series Power Arms are created from heavy-duty Strenx (Domex) steel and meet the UK’s ISO 9001 hallmark of quality management.
McConnel’s UK Sales manager Jonathan Webb said: “The new 75-series is extremely robust and is ideal for busy professional contractors. Its enhanced cooling and hydraulics systems offer significant breakthroughs in performance and productivity.”
