Swiss bliss as record crowds flock to see machines header image

State-of-the-art McConnel machines have been pulling in the crowds at Switzerland’s biggest agricultural engineering Expo.

More than 50,000 people attended the AGRAMA 2014 Show where McConnel’s Swiss distribution partner OTT shone a spotlight on some of the company’s best-selling green maintenance, remote control and seeding technology.

Machines on display included:

• McConnel’s all-terrain remote control ROBOCUT
• The low-disturbance SEEDAERATOR drill.
• A state-of-the-art PA6585 VFR Power Arm
• A mid-range PA4745 Power Arm
• And the popular Topper 9 Rotary Mower

OTT product Manager Thomas Hofer said the event had generated a lot of positive feedback on the build quality and innovative features.

He said: “There was a great deal of interest in all of the products we had on display – with the Variable Forward Reach armset attracting the most attention. We received a lot of praise for the quality of the machines and the wide variety of work attachments available.”

Held in Berne, the bi-annual event was supported by more than 250 exhibitors and attracted farmers, contractors, dealers and local government officials from all over the country.
