McConnel’s ground-breaking Grassland Shakaerator has been winning fans across Holland after a series of demonstrations organised by the company’s Dutch cultivation specialist Pool-Agri.
The machine has been put through its paces at a series of shows for fruit growers and dairy farmers who could watch it in operation and see how it aids water percolation, eases compaction, heaves and aerates the soil, and creates the perfect conditions for enhanced fruit and grass growth.
Pool-Agri general manager Hendrik Pool said: “We got a great reception for local farmers and contractors – many of whom were seeing the machine in action for the first time.
“They were quick to appreciate that more grass means more milk so the Grassland Shakaerator proved very popular.”
Available in 2.0m, 2.5m and 3.0m working widths, the machine features low draught legs which cause minimal surface disturbance while promoting effective crop and grass growth.
