Karting champ Joe Cooke has taken the laurels in the third annual McConnel ‘Grand Prix’.
Joe who works in Hydraulics, took the chequered flag to win by more than 20 seconds from his nearest rival, design engineer Ian Thomas. Lee Monks of assembly joined them on the podium with a hard-fought third place finish.
The event attracted 23 employees who battled it out at the Herefordshire Raceway circuit.
Joe picked up four race wins and also walked off with the Fastest lap Award, narrowly edging Ian Thomas and Protoype’s Gareth Millman for the prize.
