McConnel teams up with Payen Import in exclusive French flex-wing mower distribution deal
McConnel are delighted to announce an exclusive distribution deal with French vegetation management equipment supplier Payen Import, which will see the Rozay-en-Brie company become the sole agent for McConnel Flex-Wing Rotary Mowers in France.
From 1 August, 2021 Payen Import will be able to offer a one-stop shop for McConnel’s comprehensive range of vegetation management machinery, that includes Power Arms, Remote Control Machinery, and now also Europe’s best selling range of Flex Wing-Rotary Mowers.
The McConnel Flex-Wing Rotary Mower range consists of 4 models that are available in the following configurations:
- McConnel SR420, 4.2m tractor mounted Flex Wing Rotary Mower – 3 rotors, 3 blades per rotor
- McConnel SR460, 4.6m, trailed Flex Wing Rotary Mower – 3 rotors, 4 or 6 mulching blades per rotor
- McConnel SR620, 6.2m trailed Flex Wing Rotary Mower – 3 rotors, 4 or 6 mulching blades per rotor
- McConnel SR820, 8.2m trailed Flex Wing Rotary Mower – 5 rotors, 4 or 6 mulching blades per rotor
All McConnel Flex-Wing Rotary Mowers are supplied with a 7-year Gearbox Warranty.
McConnel chose Payen as its partner because of the long and successful relationship forged by the two companies since 2002 - which began with a deal to sell McConnel’s Power Arm range through the French company’s well-established national dealer network.

McConnel introduces new mid-range 62-Series Power Arm.
McConnel is set to launch a new 60hp mid-range Power Arm at LAMMA 2026. The 62-Series - an unrivalled combination of value, power and performance – making it ideal for farmers, contractors, and local government grass maintenance teams.
The 62-Series is available with a choice of 5.1m, 5.5m and 5.7m straight arms, as well a 5.5m Variable Forward Reach (VFR) option, providing improved visibility to the cutting head for greater operator comfort.
Additional new features include high visibility LED road lighting, a redesigned hydraulic tank, a two-piece rear guard for easy service access, and a sculpted polypropylene top cover to prevent debris and moisture ingress.
McConnel’s parallel-arm and Hy-reach geometry continue to come as standard, as do seam welded c-section arms and fully bushed pivot points to reduce stress and ensure greater durability.
The 62-Series also comes with McConnel's in-house designed 60hp gear hydraulic system, featuring a 180-litre hydraulic tank, high-capacity oil cooler, electric rotor control option. 120 degrees of Hydraulic Power Slew enables safe transport and provides operators with the flexibility to cut precisely in tight corners.
An optional external debris blower option is available, which clears roadside debris.
Customers can choose from the mini joystick Pioneer control or large joystick Evolution control. Both providing proportional control for reach, lift and head angle for performance and operator comfort.
62-Series machines are built with 3-point linkage mounting and have 4-point hitch and stabiliser bar options. They can be fitted to tractors over 70hp and 3,000kg dependant on specification and reach
Manufactured in the UK at McConnel's Ludlow facility, the 62-Series is compatible with a comprehensive range of attachments, including 1.2m and 1.5m flailheads with optional hydraulic front hood and hydraulic rear roller, sawheads, rotary heads, and cutterbars. A heavy duty ditch and grip cleaner can also be specified.
The 62-Series is immediately available to order through McConnel's dealer network.

Located in Kjellerup, Northern Denmark, Bredsgaard A/S is a prominent player in the distribution and aftersales support for agricultural, forestry, and groundcare machinery.
