HSE Manager/Officer

The Role

McConnel are seeking a proactive HSE Manager/Officer as part of our ongoing Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance commitment within our Ludlow manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring a safe working environment across our business, field service activities, and manufacturing processes.

Job responsibilities/duties:

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with legal and industry standards.

• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections across all sites and operations.

• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventative actions.

• Provide HSE training, guidance, and support to all levels of staff.

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainability initiatives.

• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary reporting and documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Skills/Qualifications:

• NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification (IOSH membership desirable).

• Proven HSE experience within engineering or manufacturing sectors would be an advantage, but is not essential.

• Strong understanding of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
