The Role

McConnel are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our day shift team, supporting the ongoing performance, reliability, and safety of our workshop and production equipment. This hands-on role is vital in maintaining operational efficiency within our agricultural equipment engineering facility.

Job responsibilities/duties:

Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
Diagnose faults and perform repairs on machinery including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Ensure minimal downtime through quick response and effective troubleshooting.
Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Skills/Qualifications:

Recognised qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent).
Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently on a day shift with occasional flexibility when required.
